Add Jam have been advocates for electric mobility for a long time and have worked across several electric vehicle charging software projects. Over this time we noticed there was no simple searchable site for qualified EV installers. Therefore we developed Charge Point Sparky.
About Charge Point Sparky
Add Jam used an open data set from the ULEZ department of Gov UK to create a geocoded and easily searchable directory of registered EV charge point installers. We ingest the data in csv form, perform geocoding in our Ruby on Rails application to allow location based search and expose this through a json api.
The frontend of the Charge Point Sparky app is a Next.js React web app. Users can search for a charge point installer using their town or city name.

Charge Point Sparky is a fairly standard Add Jam project encompassing:

The app was quick to develop and has low hosting costs.
